Southern Exposure Diving's Signature Equipment Service

Let's face it tech divers- we put our regulators through some brutal diving each year. Our signature equipment service is built around the understanding of what technical divers subject their regulators to and how to care for that life support.

Unlike other mail order equipment service, our service is performed by factory certified technicians. We have some of the finest service facilities around, including one of the only positive pressure HEPA filtered O2 clean rooms in a dive shop! When you send us your equipment, our technicians will complete the following service on your equipment:

  • All equipment is pre-tested before servicing.
  • All equipment is serviced with Original Manufacturer parts.
  • All equipment is assembled and torqued to manufacturer specifications.
  • All equipment is internally and externally inspected for wear and damage.
  • All equipment is cleaned and made as like new as possible.
  • All equipment is setup and adjusted to original specifications.
  • All regulator seats are broken in with a state of the art breathing machine.
  • All regulator stages are retested and final adjustments made.
  • All regulators are run through a full series of flow tests on a Flow Bench and documented.
  • All equipment is wet and leak tested.
  • All warranty paperwork submitted if under current warranty.

Our technicians are trained to service virtually any brand, including but not limited to: Aeris, Aqualung, Beauchat, Dive Rite, Genesis, Halcyon, Interspiro (AGA Masks), Mares, OMS, OTS, Poseidon, Scubapro, Sherwood, and Zeagle. We can also service Full Face Masks.... call us for pricing!

Service Rates:

  • Regulator Per Stage - $ 30.00 + parts
    1st, 2nd & Octopus (Alternate) stages, and SPG/Console.
  • BCD Service - $ 30.00 + parts
    Leak, pressure testing and complete power inflator overhaul. Internal bladder cleaning included
  • Regulator Oxygen Cleaning - $25.00 (per stage) + parts
    Surcharge added in conjunction with a normal service and overhaul charges. Available only for regulators compatible with oxygen service. Includes hose cleaning as well.
     

To take advantage of our equipment service for technical divers, follow these 3 easy steps:

  1. Print and complete the Equipment Service Submission Form. Be sure to give us as much information as possible on your equipment's history. If you'd like custom tuning of your regulators beyond the MFG guidelines, please note it on your form.
  2. Mail the completed form and your equipment to our facility:

  3. We'll call you before performing any work to confirm the price.

Once we've finished (usually less than 2 weeks) we'll return your equipment to you along with the specifications from our bench testing. If any additional parts or repairs (such as replacing cracked hoses, etc) are required, we'll call and confirm with you prior to performing the repair.

The "Fine" Print: Please understand that when you send us your equipment we'll need to break it down in order to be able to provide an exact price quote. Chances are, if your equipment is under warranty and in overall good condition, you won't pay anything beyond labor and shipping. If you choose not to have your equipment serviced once we've broken it down and provided a quote, please note there will be a $25 tear down charge. Merchandise not picked up within 30 days of completion will acrue a $5.00 per item storage fee per week. After 60 days items on unpaid invoices will be sold to cover invoice unless other arangments have been made.

We ship via UPS unless otherwise requested. If you'd like service faster than ground shipping or would like us to use another shipping provider, please note that in the 'additional information' section of the equipment service form.
