Exposure Protection
One thing too often overlooked by technical divers when streamlining their equipment is the exposure suit they don and doff each dive. Divers wearing baggy or bulky dry suits end up needing more weight to compensate for extra air space, have more trouble with buoyancy control as a result of air moving through the suit, require more gas to fill that suit, and are dragging around significantly more 'bulk' rather than being streamlined through the water.
When Whites Drysuits created the Fusion suit, they took the drysuit market by storm. The Fusion uses a 'baggy' waterproof layer held tight by a stretchy outer shell to create an extremely comfortable, streamlined, and form fitting wetsuit. Unlike most previous suits which required several sets of measurements, the Fusion comes in a few sizes, easily determined by their size chart, yet fits like a custom built suit.
After these suits hit the market, it became our primary suit of choice. The addition of the tech skin, a slightly thicker outer shell designed to hold up to the abuse of tech diving, and thigh pockets make this suit a must-have for technical divers. It dives just like a 3mm with regards to flexibility and movement in the water and air shifting from head to toe on the suit is almost non-existant!
We carry the Fusion in the Tech Skin on our site, and offer it in a package for divers who wish to purchase boots and the underwear along with the suit.
